Nominations are now open for the best blog post on any topic published at any point in time on a blog whose general theme tends towards the biblical.
The prize is an Eisenbrauns Gift Certificate for the winner (think what Matt could do with that!) and of course prestige amongst the bibliobloggers and one’s name in lights (well maybe a bold font).
Nominees cannot nominate themselves… Anyone wishing to nominate a blog post should visit this link, September Giveaway – Eisenbrauns Gift Certificate(s), and simply leave the url for the nominated blog post in the comments section there.
The nominator of the winning nominee will also receive a gift certificate…
Once all the nominations have been received there will be a voting period.
As a recent convert to Christianity I’m naturally interested in -and drawn to-theological discussion.
But the utter self-absorbtion and egotistical posturing on display here tells me that I’d be better off looking elsewhere.
I’m going to be a bit less judgmental and say I nominate Matt’s Selling Atheism post although I see someone else has already nominated it.
Vote for MandM.
Well shoot me now KG because not only would I like it if Matt and I ended up with several nominations in the contest, I confess to the liklihood that I would probably feel happy and may even smile if I found out one of us had won it.
I have not seen some of these older posts!
Some of the earlier ones may cover basic points but they are still goodies. The little p philosophy and the I think I’m right ones are great.
I will delve a little deeper and then settle on a candidate for nomination.
KG, taking pride in ones work, and accepting recognition of it is in accordance with Biblical humility.
False humility is as galling as arrogance.
From the Church of Jesus Christ website containing the rules for the competition:
KG what’s your problem mate? m&m are light on the income at the mo right? They need texts and resources if they’re gonna pull off more gd stuff like the Canaanite apologetic right? way i see its, this the way for them to win some.
It beats begging and whining eh bro?
But one of my posts has been nominated. So you can kiss your $50 goodbye, now, MandM. Nyah ha ha!!
Watch out Deane, KG will bring down fire and brimstone on you with all that skiting and taunting 😉
I thoroughly enjoyed the debates on atheism, despite the silly tactics employed by Ken (but his stamina for these debates is remarkable)
