On Monday 2 August at the University of Auckland Emeritus Professor of Philosophy Dr Raymond Bradley and Dr Matthew Flannagan (of this blog) debated the topic “Is God the Source of Morality? Is it rational to ground right and wrong in commands issued by God?” Here is the video of that debate.

The nature of YouTube means that you can only upload in 10 minute splices which you then set together in a playlist as I have done above.
I’m not aware of any other freeware that would permit us to upload the video in one block but if other readers are let me know.
It is possible to obtain a copy on DVD if that helps? Contact Thinking Matters themselves, follow the link through the hat tip.
Thanks for getting this online.
Is it possible to upload a complete version at full length in one video? It’s a nightmare to background download and save for later viewing when it’s split up like this.

Hey just wondering… Is Matt Australian or kiwi?
I am a kiwi.
Are you? Honest to who g?? I thought you were a bloody aussie bro haha cause when I listened to your talk i thought you have an aussie accent.
I think that’s why Goiiis thought that too eh.
Good to hear that you’re on the right side Matt, good to hear…
madeleine – try out vimeo, you should be able to upload the entire thing there
You should try it in the old ratios. Should work. Btw day after tomorrow is cookie friday.
@ Brennan Lee. Springfield is a part of all, a part of us all, a part of us all. Yeah and i think Dan’s on cookie friday tomorrow. Will he come through? We shall see.
@Cyborganan: Gina that is not funny! What’s ‘springfield’s a part of us all’ from the Simpsons gotta do with it? Btw it’s not dan on friday, it’s hazza. Is your name supposed to have some reference to Matt?
Apologies matt and madeleine. Gina…
Is it really necessary to have Matt’s name tagged in this post? It is his blog and over half the posts would have something to do with him.
@Richard P.
I reckon it’s cause Flannagan likes the sight of his name being tagged everywhere. It’s quite pointless really.
Matt is tagged to raise the overall profile of this post within Google.
Do you have anything to say regarding the content of the video?
Nah not really. It’s just that open parachute is such a better website. Go Ken!
